It’s Rockin’ Science

Discussions: the etiology and treatment of Chronic Pain and PTSD with Yoga Therapy.

The song lyrics try to explain some of the language, science (neurology, psychology), philosophy, and spirituality used in the understanding and treatment of those challenged by chronic pain and PTSD.

This music is rock music and is not soothing. You can just try reading the lyrics, if rock music is aggravating to you.

This is an attempt to put some complex ideas into simple language.

Gerry (Virg) is part of the original Detroit Rock City movement of the late 60’s/early 70s as a 17 year old rocker, often playing the famed Grande Ballroom. Managed through A-Square Productions-Ann Arbor, the original home of Bob Seger, Ted Nugent, the MC5, Iggy and the Stooges, Alice Cooper, Gerry and his band Virgin Dawn, SRC, Savage Grace, Catfish, Wilson Mower Pursuit, Brownsville Station, The Rationals, Sky and others. Virg’s band performed with each of those groups as well as Savoy Brown, Johnny Winter, Poco, Edgar Winter, Spirit, Joe Walsh, Fleetwood Mac, Rod Stewart and the Faces with Ronnie Wood, James Cotton, and Minnie Riperton with Rotary Connection among others.

Virg (Gerry) also worked during semi-retirement as Concert Director for shows including: Anthrax, Canned Heat, Dokken, Edgar Winter, Gary Moore, Golden Earring, Humble Pie, Iron Maiden, Joe Perry, John Mayall, Johnny Winter, Leon Russel, Leslie West, Little Feat, Motorhead, Ratt, Savoy Brown, Saxon, Spirit, Steppenwolf,... He has also written and performed with members of a couple of other fine hard rock Detroit bands.

This type of music is not used in therapy or yoga or Tai Chi class, (at this time :)

Hope you can smile as you see the transition from “science” to “street talk”.
